Good morning friends and Happy Monday. I have come to like Mondays because of these Newsletters. Everything I write is inspired by God and it encourages me as well.

So let's get encouraged together this week. I'm pretty sure you have your essentials with you. Your bible, journal and pen and optionally your

Scripture:

That very night the believers sent Paul and Silas to Berea. When they arrived there, they went to the Jewish synagogue. And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.

- Acts 17:10-11

In this passage of scripture. Paul and Silas are sent to Berea and when they get there, they preach the Good News to the people of Berea in the synagogue.

Here are two things to note about the Bereans, the were listened to Paul and Silas' teaching with eagerness. Secondly, they searched the scriptures daily to examine if what they were taught aligned with the Truth.

It is so easy for us to go to church, bibles in our hands and just listen to what is said without even opening our bibles thereafter. We rely so heavily on what the pastor says from the pulpit that we wait to hear the Word again the following Sunday.

The Bereans were taught a message by a man who write a third of the bible, yet they still searched the scriptures to confirm what was said. I'm not saying become sceptical of your teachers and pastors, what I'm saying is, get into the Word and read it for yourself. Don't just take what the teacher says, search for it yourself. Have your own relationship with God. Don't only rely on others for your spiritual nourishment. Search the scriptures daily.

Friends, this is important, we live in a time where some people want to bring their own interpretation of the Word to suit their own desires. If you don't read the Word you will be deceived.

We need to read our bibles and spend time with God and in fellowship with other believers. This is so that; "we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth."

- Ephesians 4:14

Our biggest priority here on earth is our relationship with God. Don't neglect it. If you don't know who God is, read the Word because it's all about Him. The more you know Him, the more you'll begin to fall in love with Him. Because how can you love someone you don't know?

The bible is not a fictional book, it is based on actual historical events that took place more that 2000 years ago. So yes, God really did part the red sea, He really gave His people manna from heaven and made water flow from a rock. It's the truth.

He really did come in the flesh as Jesus Christ and died for our sins and now is resurrected and has set us free. This is the Truth. Do you believe it?

The journal prompts are below. Be brutally honest with yourself, and sit in the presence of God as you do this.

Journal prompts

1. Do you believe that the Bible is the Truth?

2. How long ago have you read your bible? Do you read it daily or not? If not, what's your reason for not doing so?

3. Do you have a close relationship with God? If yes, how do you know, and if not, what's hindering you?

That's it from me for today. Keep this in mind this week. I encourage you to nor just take my word for anything I said and truly examine the scriptures for yourself and see if what I said is the truth.

From your sister in Christ,

Love, B
